The Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) was established in 1995 to support and enhance the operations of the athletic department. The purpose of the SAAC is to support the mission of the Pitt-Bradford athletic department by providing a forum in which student-athletes and administrators can express their views regarding programs, support services and policies which directly affect student-athletes.

Goals

SAAC will support a University environment that fosters a positive athletic experience for student-athletes by promoting a healthy lifestyle, open communication between student-athletes and the University community, and increased support amongst peers, faculty and staff.

SAAC is committed to serving as an ambassador of for intercollegiate athletics and the University as a whole by participating in community service and volunteer activities to benefit the community in which we live.

SAAC is committed to enhancing and improving the athletic department by fostering open and honest discussion of issues, programs, and policies, which have an impact on all Pitt-Bradford student-athletes.

Membership

Each team shall elect two individuals to serve as a council member, and one alternate who will serve and vote in the absence of the regular member. All SAAC members are eligible, and are encouraged, to run for the executive committee.
