In some instances where extenuating circumstances are present, appeals may be granted. To request an appeal, the following procedures must be followed:

The student, in writing, should make appeals to her/his coach and the Director of Athletics. In the letter, the student should explain the extenuating circumstances and why an exception should be made. A copy of the student's transcript and current registration form should be attached to the letter of appeal, as well as progress assessment letters from the student's current instructors. The letter of appeal and related materials will be sent to the Dean of Student Affairs for preliminary review, and then to the Dean of Academic Affairs for final review.

Decisions regarding eligibility appeals will be made by the Dean of Academic Affairs or the Dean of Student Affairs in a timely manner.
