Psychology Major

Program Name: Psychology

Program Designation: B.S.

Program Contact: Dr. Warren Fass

Academic Division: Behavioral and Social Sciences

Program Description:

Many of us want to know why people behave the way they do. And some of us want to really know why. And then do something to help. If you’re one of those people, then a psychology major may be what you’re looking for.

As a psychology major, you’ll learn a lot about why humans behave the way they do. You’ll get to focus on one area that you’re interested in and conduct your own research. When you’re ready, you can head out into the community for an internship at a mental health facility in a local hospital. Or at a social service agency or correctional institution.

Once you earn your degree, you’ll be prepared to work at a social service or mental health agency. Or, you can work in a school. For a company. You could even accept a job at a governmental agency. Or, you could decide to go to graduate school for more study.

Additional Information:

If you're a transfer student and have already earned a previous degree, you do not need to complete a minor.
