Interested in a career in medicine? Think you might want to be a doctor? Well, you will eventually need to earn a doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathic medicine degree. But first, you’ll need a bachelor’s degree. You can do that on our campus.
While you’re here, you can choose any major. However, most of our students who are in medical school or who are now doctors majored in biology. Once you earn a four-year degree, you can apply to medical school.
We also have an agreement with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh that we call the Freshman Guarantee. We have another agreement with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA, which will allow you to enter their medical school after just three years of undergraduate coursework, enabling you to become a doctor in even less time. In each case, these agreements mean that if you meet certain requirements, you will automatically be admitted to one of their doctoral programs.
