Interdisciplinary Arts- BA

Program Name: Interdisciplinary Arts

Program Designation: B.A.

Program Contact: John Levey - Director Interdisciplinary Arts Program and Assistant Professor of Music

Academic Division: Communication and the Arts

Program Description:

Do you love music? Art? Theater? Writing? Can’t decide which one you love more? With our interdisciplinary arts major, you’ll study all of these.

As an artist, you’ll study art history. You’ll draw. Paint. Create ceramic pieces. Design computer graphics. In music, you’ll perform. Write about music. Create music. Take voice and instrument lessons. In theater, you’ll perform on stage. And work backstage. If you love to write you will. Write fiction stories or poetry. Do literary editing, magazine production or newspaper staff writing. And, you’ll do all of this in our fine arts building. It was built with artists – like you – in mind.

When you graduate, you’ll be prepared for several exciting careers in the arts. Be an arts journalist. Catalog and describe arts collections. Manage an arts company. Or, you can take what you’ve learned and go to graduate school.

What you can do with a degree in Interdisciplinary Arts.
