Legalities of Small Business seminar

Pitt-Bradford and the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce are teaming up on Tuesday, Nov. 10, to offer a seminar on the legalities of small-business ownership and operation.

Assistant district attorney Ray Learn will teach the seminar from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the  Outreach Services  Classroom of the Seneca Building in downtown Bradford. Cost is $15 for Chamber of Commerce members and $20 for nonmembers.

Participants will learn about some of the most common laws that small businesses must adhere to. Topics include zoning, licensing, employment, contracts and sales, insurance and tax filings.

“This course, co-sponsored by the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce, was designed in response to many questions that the Business Resource Center gets on a weekly basis about small businesses and legal issues,” said  Ann Robinson , director of the Pitt-Bradford  Business Resource Center . “The cost of the course was kept to a minimum, and the class size will be small enough that area entrepreneurs can get their questions answered.”
