Those who would like to paint a winter scene with oils on canvas can attend one of two painting workshops sponsored by Pitt-Bradford's Office of Outreach Services.
The workshops will be held Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 26-27, and Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 28-29, at Pitt-Bradford
Cindy Nowacki, a transfer and nontraditional student counselor at Pitt-Bradford, will present the class from 6 to 9 p.m. in Room 146 of Blaisdell Hall. Cost is $59 per participant. Paints, brushes and canvas are provided.
A second session has been added for this class due to its popularity, and only a few spots are left. Initially, the class was to be held on Oct. 19-20.
Nowacki will highlight composition through line, value, shape, color and edgework.
“You do not have to have any experience at all for this class – if you have never painted anything, you will be able to do this,” said Barb Burkhouse, assistant director of professional and workforce education at Pitt-Bradford. “Cindy is a fabulous instructor and explains all the techniques used in painting a landscape.”
