Pitt-Bradfors's Outreach Services Office will hold two workshops for supervisors and safety directors in the oil and gas industry on safety measures required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
A “Well Production Safety Seminar” will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, in the Mukaiyama University Room in the Frame-Westerberg Commons. This new seminar is an intense one-day training program that provides targeted information for supervisors and safety directors who review regulations and industry standards for well production.
A “Well Servicing Operations Safety Seminar” will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, in the University Room. This seminar is an intense one-day training program for supervisors and safety directors who review safety regulations and industry standards for servicing operations.
The cost for each session is $45 per participant and includes lunch.
“These courses are a direct result of needs expressed by people working in the oil and gas industry,” said Ann Robinson, director of the Business Resource Center. “Outreach Services strives to be responsive to the regional workforce needs like those in the oil and gas fields. We have held similar courses in the past, and the attendees have asked for more.”
