Description of Position:

Marilyn Horne Hall Building Managers are responsible for the general supervision and security of Marilyn Horne Hall, which includes the daily opening and closing of the building.  During open hours, the Building Manager serves as a Museum Ambassador and is responsible for greeting and welcoming guests, ensuring the museum is tidy and all interactive exhibits are in working order. Duties include light dusting, vacuuming floors, and counting and recording daily visitors to the museum. Building Managers also assist with setup and breakdown of museum events and conferences hosted by the museum, and other duties as assigned including tasks in the Marilyn Horne Museum Gift Shop. Marilyn Horne Hall Building Managers are expected to maintain a basic knowledge of the life and career of Marilyn Horne and be well informed of all events and activities organized by the museum including the Museum Gift Shop. This is a highly visible position requiring daily interaction with the public, faculty, students and staff. Knowledge of the building, its tenants, and all University activities is required.

 

Hours per week:  8

Payrate:  $8.25
